Introducing Maverick – The Next Generation of English Labrador Excellence
The Black Moose Labradors is proud to introduce Maverick, an exciting young stud dog whose pedigree represents generations of distinguished British Labrador breeding and a legacy of excellence that spans decades.
Maverick is the son of Kowby and Snowhite of KellyGreen Kennels, combining carefully selected bloodlines renowned for their quality, soundness, and classic Labrador temperament. He is the product of thoughtful breeding with an emphasis on preserving the characteristics that have made British Labradors respected around the world.
One of the most influential elements of Maverick’s heritage is the historic Blondella bloodline. Established by Mrs. H. Burton, the Blondella prefix is one of the most respected names in British Labrador history and played a significant role in the development and international exportation of exceptional show Labradors throughout the latter half of the twentieth century.
Active during the 1970s, 1980s, and 1990s, Blondella became synonymous with outstanding breed type, balanced conformation, and the steady, intelligent temperament that defines the Labrador Retriever. The kennel produced numerous influential dogs that left a lasting mark on the breed both in the United Kingdom and abroad.
Among the most celebrated foundation dogs were UK Champion Keysun Teko of Blondella (foaled 1974), an outstanding black Labrador whose influence as a sire can still be found in modern pedigrees, and UK Champion Keysun Krispin of Blondella (foaled 1975), another historically significant dog who helped establish the consistency and quality for which the Blondella name became renowned.
The Blondella legacy quickly expanded beyond Britain. Distinguished dogs including Blondella Bally Who J.W. and Blondella Bonny Lad were exported internationally during the 1980s, becoming foundation stock for many champion-producing kennels throughout Sweden and mainland Europe. Their descendants continue to influence Labrador breeding programs across the world, making the Blondella prefix one of the most enduring names in the breed’s history.
Maverick proudly carries this remarkable heritage forward. He represents generations of carefully preserved British bloodlines, combining classic Labrador type, athleticism, intelligence, and the calm, willing temperament that has made these pedigrees so highly regarded by breeders and enthusiasts alike.
Although still a young dog, Maverick is already demonstrating the qualities expected from his exceptional lineage. With his strong presence, balanced structure, and confident, affectionate nature, he is developing into an exciting young stud with a promising future.
At The Black Moose Labradors, our commitment is to preserve and build upon the finest British bloodlines while producing Labradors of outstanding quality, sound temperament, and lasting excellence. Maverick represents that vision—honoring the remarkable legacy of KellyGreen and the historic Blondella bloodline while beginning the next chapter of his own story.
The future of this distinguished heritage is here. His name is Maverick.
